Budgerigar, also known as the common pet parakeet and nicknamed the budgie, is a small, long-tailed, seed-eating parrot. Budgerigars are found wild throughout the drier parts of Australia where the species has survived harsh inland conditions for the last five million years. Budgerigar chick starts to grow pin feathers after 11 to 12 days of hatching. Budgerigar chick almost got full feathers after 28 days.
